Your Music on Bandcamp

At AudioMaze, we see Bandcamp as more than a store. It's a community of dedicated listeners who value the craft of global sounds, jazz and fusion. To grow your reach and keep sales simple, we bring all the releases we distribute together on the AudioMaze label page. (audiomaze.bandcamp.com)

This page covers how we set you up, how sales and payments work, and how to sell your own merch.

1. Why the AudioMaze label page matters

Collective discovery. When a fan follows the AudioMaze label page, Bandcamp notifies them about every release we put out. Your new album lands in the inboxes of listeners who already love the AudioMaze sound, even if they don't follow your own page yet. Fans of one AudioMaze artist can easily discover the next.

Direct fan support. Bandcamp is still one of the most artist-friendly platforms for payouts. With your releases correctly linked to our label page, we can track performance and plan with you around peak moments like Bandcamp Fridays, when Bandcamp waives its revenue share.

2. How we set you up

Setup depends on where you are now.

You don't have a Bandcamp page yet We create an artist page for you under the AudioMaze label account and send you an invitation from Bandcamp. You'll get your own login, so you can edit your page, message your fans and view your stats.

You already have a Bandcamp artist page We send a request to link your page to the AudioMaze label for the releases we distribute. You keep your own page and followers. We handle the back end and add your AudioMaze releases to the label storefront.

We handle the uploads You don't need to deal with metadata, hi-res artwork formatting or upload timing. We upload your AudioMaze releases so they're optimised for discovery and ready for Bandcamp Friday highlights.

3. How digital sales and payments work

Your AudioMaze digital releases (albums, EPs, singles) are paid to AudioMaze. They show on both the AudioMaze label page and your artist page.

Your share of those sales is included in your monthly royalty statement, together with your streaming income. Payouts follow your AudioMaze agreement.

4. Selling your own merch

AudioMaze handles your digital releases. If you want to sell physical items yourself, like vinyl, CDs, cassettes, shirts or posters, you can. Fans pay you directly, and you receive and ship the orders.

On Bandcamp, payment is set per item, so your merch can be paid to you even when it's attached to an AudioMaze release. A fan can buy the download (paid to AudioMaze) and your vinyl or shirt (paid to you) in one visit.

Step 1: Make sure you have your own login

You need access to your artist page with your own login (see section 2). No invitation yet? Check your spam folder, then let us know and we'll resend it.

Step 2: Add your PayPal address

  1. Log in to Bandcamp and go to your Profile page.

  2. Add the PayPal email address where you want to receive merch payments.

Adding your PayPal does not change where your AudioMaze digital releases are paid. Those stay with AudioMaze.

Step 3: Add your merch

  1. On your artist page, choose Add merch, or open your AudioMaze release and add a physical item to it.

  2. Fill in the details: photos, description, price, stock and shipping rates.

  3. In the item's pricing section, check "Payments will go to". It must show your own PayPal email address, not AudioMaze's.

  4. Save and publish.

Check "Payments will go to" on every item. It's set per item. If it shows AudioMaze, the payment and the order come to us instead of you.

Good to know

  • Your merch shows on your artist page only. Items paid to you don't appear in the AudioMaze label merch section. Share your artist page or release link when you promote your merch.

  • You handle fulfilment. You get the order notifications, ship the items and answer buyer questions. AudioMaze doesn't see or process these orders.

  • Fees and taxes on merch are yours. Bandcamp's fee on physical sales and PayPal's fees come out of your payments. Any VAT or income tax on your merch sales is your own responsibility.

  • Merch isn't on your AudioMaze statement. Your statement only covers the digital sales and streams AudioMaze handles.

  • Only the payee can change an item's payment settings. You control your merch, and AudioMaze controls the digital releases.
