Metadata and Quality Standards

Metadata

Required:

  • Accurate and non-misleading metadata (correct artists, titles, and roles)

  • No advertising, URLs, prices, or SEO keywords in titles, artist names, or artwork

  • Artists listed correctly, each in their own field

  • Correct release dates and country availability

  • Language configured at both album and track level

Prohibited:

  • Generic artist names such as "Relaxing Music", "Rain Sounds", or "Sleep Baby"

  • Emojis in titles, artist names, lyrics, or any metadata field

  • Artist names in title fields

  • Keyword stuffing in titles

Artwork

Required:

  • High resolution, square format (minimum 3000 × 3000 pixels)

  • Original and non-copyright-infringing

Prohibited:

  • URLs, barcodes, QR codes, price stickers, or promotional callouts

  • References to DSPs (e.g. "Available on Spotify/Apple Music")

  • Explicit sexual content or graphic violence

  • Third-party logos, brands, or characters without authorization

Audio

Required:

  • Final masters only, correctly encoded (flac or .wav format, 16-bit of 24-bit, 44.1 kHz, stereo.)

  • No watermarks or promos

Prohibited:

  • More than 10 seconds of silence at the beginning or end

  • Cut, corrupted, or incomplete tracks

  • Advertising tracks embedded as music
